Console Games

The Lyons New Media Centre is host to an ever-growing collection of console games for the Playstation 3, Wii and XBox. We offer a wide-variety of games with both solo and group-based gameplay.

Video games may be played in L-414 (the Gaming Theatre) only. Course-related gaming takes priority during high-use times.

Games and controllers are provided by Lyons. Search the catalogue (for console games) to see a list of the games we currently own. We are sorry but video games and controllers cannot be taken out of the library at this time; they must be used in the Gaming Theatre (room L414).

Update (Sept 8/11): We have recently purchased approximately 35-40 new video games which still need to be catalogued. Once this has been done, they will be added to our collection. Some of the new titles purchased are:

Playstation 3: Alice: Madness Returns, Duke Nukem Forever, Fifa Soccer 11, inFamous 2, Little Big Planet 2, and Mortal Kombat

Wii: Donkey Kong Country Returns, Epic Mickey, Golden Eye 007, Mario Party 8, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and Sims 3

XBox: Dead Rising 2, Fable III, L.A. Noire, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Portal 2, and Red Dead Redemption

PC Games

October 18/11 - PC games are now here!

Two PCs have be added to the booking page as "PC Gaming Station #1" and "PC Gaming Station #2".

Check out the PC Gaming Stations - Games Lists page, as each of the machines have different games on them, so be sure you book the right machine for the game you want to play.

Also note: These PC stations will have a slightly different procedure for booking, signing up, playing, etc. This are posted at the Lyons Help Desk and in our How to Play Games @ Lyons blog post. Course-related gaming takes priority during high-use times.
