Oral History Transcript Use Agreement
McMaster University Library retains tapes and transcripts solely for research use. This use is governed by those rules applying to the use of manuscript and archival material. Such rules are designed to preserve the tapes and to ensure the legitimate use of their contents as literary property.
A researcher must state his/her reasons for using the Library's tape collection.
A researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming to the laws of libel and literary property rights which may be involved in his/her use of the oral tape collections.
A researcher may take notes. He/she may not transcribe a tape or copy it.
If a portion of any tape is to be used or quoted as any part of a publication, the written permission McMaster University Library is required.
Submission of this form implies acceptance of the Conditions of Use stated above.
