NOTE: McMaster Library does not own full-text business cases. However, we do have access to many business-related case studies presented in books and articles. This guide is designed to provide information about where to locate these case studies in the library collection, as well as where to find case studies and business cases online.

• To find a particular case study in a book, search for the book in the library catalogue by Author or by Title.
• To find a case study on a particular topic in a book
  • use the Anywhere option from the drop-down menu in the library catalogue and search for relevant keyword(s) along with the phrase "case studies". For example, marketing "case studies"
  • use the Subject option from the drop-down menu in the library catalogue and search for the headings that best describe your topic along with the phrase "case studies". Examples include:

• There are a number of free examples of business cases available online that are typically used for educational and marketing purposes.

Acadia Institute of Case Studies (Acadia University)	Provides cases and various other educational resource materials that focus on Canadian entrepreneurship and small business operations that reflect "real world" situations.
Business Gateway	Provides examples of case studies on starting and running a small business in the United Kingdom.

eech (European Case Clearing House)	Offers a large and up-to-date collection of management cases. Worldwide coverage.
Harvard Business School Cases	Provides cases on a variety of business topics written by HBS professors and associates. Worldwide coverage. Note: Case abstracts (1942-present) are available through Business Source Complete.
Richard Ivey School of Business - Cases (University of Western Ontario)	Publishes and distributes hundreds of cases annually produced by the Richard Ivey School of Business and a variety of other institutions including those of Harvard Business School. Worldwide coverage; includes largest collection of Asian cases in the world.
Stanford Business School Case Database	Catalogue of cases written and published by Stanford Business School. Provides purchasing information through Harvard Business Publishing. Worldwide coverage.
