HSL Renovations Nearing Completion

Submitted by debbie on August 8, 2008 - 09:19 Filed under

The Health Sciences Library is nearing the end of the 3rd and final phase of its $7.8 million renovation project. The upper level (phase 3) has been under construction since October 2006 and they are now putting the final touches to that space. Delivery and installation of the new furniture began the week of February 5th and will continue through the rest of the month. Library staff will soon move back to their offices on the renovated upper level from the lower level public space they have been occupying since the fall, and the new furniture for the lower level will be delivered and installed in March. Once all furniture and equipment are in place the renovated library entrance on the upper level will be re-opened and the temporary entrance on the lower level will be closed. This is the first renovation of the library since its opening 37 years ago in 1971 and everyone is sure to be thrilled with the results; the library looks spectacular. Check out the photos on the HSL renovation website.
