Publication Use Fees for Photographic Reproductions

These charges apply to the use of a reproduction in print, film, video or digital format when commercial use for profit is desired.

All applications for publication use must be made on the Application for Permission to Publish Photographs form.

When use fees are assessed, they are in addition to photofinishing costs, which are assessed at the rate charged by McMaster University Media Production Services.

PUBLICATION USE FEES ARE NOT REQUIRED for personal or private use; for use in theses; for use by non-profit societies; for use in community service announcements; for historical articles in local newspapers or other similar uses; or for non-profit scholarly publications.
