Please be sure to tell the Hotel staff of your choosing that you will be visiting the McMaster University Library and that you qualify for our Corporate rate. Remember that if you are staying for a four-week period they will offer you a more reasonable rate or upgrade your room.

As you will see from our list, we receive a corporate rate from many other exceptional hotels in the downtown area. Most of them have pools, Jacuzzi's, restaurants and when requested smoke-free rooms, (please note that the Ramada Hotel has an outdoor pool). Please add 7% GST & 5% retail sales tax applicable to all room rates.

Free Parking. Indoor pool, poolside Jacuzzi, sauna and exercise room. This hotel is closer to McMaster than the others. If you like to walk it would take about 30 minutes to get to the University. To get the bus you have an uphill walk of about 3-4 blocks. up the hill to King Street and from there you can catch a bus to McMaster. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but this one will take you downtown. There is a Kelsey's Roadhouse restaurant about a 10 minute walk west of there. Unlike the others, this hotel is not downtown.

D.A.R.T.S. (Disabled & Aged Regional Transportation System) is the ParaTransit service for the City of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. D.A.R.T.S. is available to persons with disabilities who are unable to access regular transit service and require the assistance of a personal mobility device (wheelchair, scooter, walker). Applications must be made through the Accessible Transportation Services department. D.A.R.T.S. service is also available to qualified residents of other municipalities while they are visiting the City of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

D.A.R.T.S. is a door to door transportation service employing wheelchair accessible buses and contracted taxi services when appropriate. Service is provided from one accessible building door entrance to another accessible building door entrance. Accessible is defined as no more than one step. Passengers are assisted in and out of vehicles. D.A.R.T.S. drivers cannot provide special assistance while the vehicle is in transit and cannot guarantee that passengers will be delivered into the hands of someone else at a drop off location. Some clients may be required to have an accompanying attendant travel with them.

University Club

Guest passes are available for visiting Faculty, who wish to use the University Club of McMaster but do not have reciprocal privileges with other University Clubs.The University Club will provide, in such instances, a guest pass for a limited period of the visit for a fee of $20/month. You may then use the Club and pay your bill by cash or personal cheque.
